HIV self-testing
We provide 2 types of HIV self-test kits. Both allows you to collect a specimen, perform the test, and interpret the results on your own. The entire process is done in the privacy of your own space, giving you complete control.

*Sensitivity of a test is its ability to show positive results in infected people.
#Specificity of a test is its ability to show negative results in non-infected people.
^The window period is the period between the moment a person gets infected with HIV and that when the antibody test shows a positive result.
Order process

The order process takes about 10 minutes. If you leave the website during the process, you need to re-start the entire procedure again.
Only registered users can order HIV self-test kit from our website. Only one self-test kit can be ordered in the account at one time and re-ordering is allowed only at least three months apart.
Complete a short questionnaire. Personal information is not required.
Select your preferred kit (oral fluid-based/ blood-based (fingerprick)) and watch the related three minutes demonstration video.
*You must watch the video at least once. Our system will record your viewing history and you can skip the video for your next order.
Test kit is available for self-pickup only as the HIV Testing Service website provides services anonymously and does not collect additional personal information, such as address from user.
The test kit will be delivered by S.F. Express (Hong Kong) to your preferred S.F. Express self-pickup point (available in Hong Kong only), including SF stations, convenience stores or Shell gas stations. When picking up the test kit, you will need to pay the applicable shipping fee (approximately HK$30), which is subject to the final decision of the delivery service. You are required to make a payment on hold of HK$130 via third party electronic payment platform (PayPal).
The payment on hold (HK$130) will be cancelled once you upload the result and complete the “Feedback Questionnaire” within 14 days from the order date. Throughout the process, you will only be responsible for the shipping fee.
You can check the delivery status on the S.F. Express (Hong Kong) website by entering the tracking number, which will be provided and added to your order record once the test-kit has been dispatched.
S.F. Express (Hong Kong) now uses SFHK APP to inform customers when their shipments are ready for pickup, instead of relying on SMS notifications. It is advisable to download and install SFHK APP to enable notifications for pickups.

Upload result and cancel payment on hold process
Choose a place with sufficient light and high privacy, and follow the instructions included in the kit to conduct the test. For details, please visit:
You can check the test results within a specific time by following the instructions. Test result can be interpreted as negative, positive or invalid.
Please make sure to login your account within 14 days from the order date in order to upload your self-test result and complete the “Feedback Questionnaire".
In the following situations, please upload your test result along with a relevant photo for our staff to review and verify:
- "Positive“ / "Invalid" / "Unable to determine result": provide a photo showing the result window
- "Test kit problem": provide a photo highlighting the noted issue with the test kit
If your uploaded result needs to be reviewed or verified by us, you will receive a notification SMS, informing you that the verification process is completed, within 2 working days. Once you receive the notification, you can log in your account to view the verified result.
Generally, payment on hold (HK$130) will be cancelled if you have uploaded the test result and completed the “Feedback questionnaire” within 14 days from the order date.
